Privacy

This page says what AEVOR does with information about you, in plain words. It describes the app as it is built today. It is a working draft that has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and it changes before AEVOR changes: if a new feature moves information, this page and its version number change first.

Privacy version 1

The short version

Ravenwork Ltd and Wai-Secure do not collect, receive or store your projects, drawings, reports, location or anything else about you through AEVOR. There is no AEVOR server for them to go to, and no analytics, tracking, advertising identifier or crash reporting of our own in the app.

  • What you make stays on your device, and in your own private iCloud if you turn sync on.
  • A few features use services other people run: Apple's services, and the New Zealand and Australian governments' elevation data. "Who gets what" below names each one, what it is sent, and why.
  • If you message us (for example price feedback on WhatsApp, or feedback through TestFlight) we receive what you send and the contact details that come with it.

What AEVOR keeps on your device

  • Your projects: walls, devices, floors, scans, imported plan pictures and the map pictures you captured.
  • Your report branding (company name, logo and contact details), once you set it.
  • The identifier Apple gave AEVOR when you signed in, which is unique to this app and kept in the device keychain so you stay signed in.
  • Your preferences, the product catalogue you imported, and a record that you accepted the important notice.

Your location (GPS)

AEVOR asks for your location only when you tap Use my location in Find the site, and only while the app is in use. It reads one position, once. It does not follow you, does nothing in the background and does not keep the position.

That position does one thing: it moves the map to where you are standing, so a site with no street address can still be found. If you then capture the map as your plan, the picture is saved in your project together with the place it covers, so the plan lines up with the map. That place is stored in your project (on this device, and in your private iCloud if you turn sync on). It is not sent to us.

The map area is sent to Apple Maps to draw and capture the map, and if you choose to read ground heights, the area of your site is sent to the elevation service for that country (see below).

  • You can turn location off for AEVOR in your device's Settings. You can still find a site by typing an address or coordinates.
  • If Precise Location is off, the position is only good to some kilometres, and AEVOR tells you so.

Payments and your subscription

Apple takes payment, renews, cancels and refunds. AEVOR asks the App Store whether you have a trial or a subscription so it can show you where you stand. It never sees your card or payment details. Apple tells us, in summary, how many subscriptions there are and in which countries, not who holds them.

Your choices

  • Do not tap Use my location: AEVOR then never reads your position.
  • Do not read ground heights: nothing about your site is sent to an elevation service. You can place height points yourself instead.
  • Leave iCloud sync off: your projects stay on this device.
  • Delete a project, or use Delete Account under Account & Sync to remove your account from this device and choose what happens to the iCloud copies. Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device.

Children

AEVOR is for people who design and install security, video, fire and access systems. It is not for children, and we do not knowingly receive anything from them.

Your rights where you live

Laws in many countries, such as the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, the Australian Privacy Act 1988, the UK and EU GDPR, and state laws in the United States, give you rights over personal information, such as asking what an organisation holds about you and having it corrected or deleted. Because Ravenwork holds no personal information about you from AEVOR, other than what you choose to send us, a request to us finds nothing more. To use these rights against Apple, an elevation service, WhatsApp or another service named above, contact them under their own privacy policies.

Who gets what

Ravenwork and Wai-Secure receive none of this: each is a service run by someone else, used only when you use the feature. Nothing else leaves your device.
